Drayage
The short truck move between a port or rail terminal and a nearby site.
Drayage is the short-haul trucking of a container over land — typically between a port or rail terminal and a warehouse close by. The distance is small, but the link is critical: a late dray turns into demurrage at the terminal and a missed delivery window down the line. Meranta times drayage to vessel and rail schedules so the first and last mile stay in step.
