Consignee
The party named on the documents to receive the goods at destination.
The consignee is the person or company named on the transport documents to take delivery at the end of the journey — typically the one who arranges clearance and accepts the cargo. The detail has to be exact: the carrier releases the goods against the name recorded on the bill of lading, so an error here can leave a shipment stuck at the port.
